Hellenic Foundation of Cardiology
The Hellenic Foundation of Cardiology was established in 1991, it is a public benefit institution, a legal entity governed by private law. It opened in September 1992 under the auspices of then President Konstantinos Karamanlis. Since its establishment, it has been supported by a large number of university medical school teachers and distinguished cardiologists from the public and private sector. Dozens of cardiologists from public and private nursing institutions joined its ranks. It was also supported and provided by leading scientists from around the world as well as members of the intellectual, economic, religious and cultural community of the country.
It is housed in its own offices on the Avenue. Sofia 133, in the center of Athens. It is also represented in dozens of Greek cities by cardiologists and is a member of the European Heart Network, actively participating in all its activities. For the fulfillment of its mission the Hellenic Foundation of Cardiology, as a public benefit foundation, is based on the grants and donations of its Friends and the voluntary offer of its Associates.
